2020 Aluminum Extrusion

The 20 Series Aluminum Extrusion includes various different profiles, including 20×20, 20x20RQ, 20×40, 20×60, and 20×80. In this blog, we’re going to look at the 20×20 and 20x20RQ aluminum profiles.
How these profiles work depends on the dimensions of the extrusion. For example, if we consider 20×20 profiles, that means that the T-slot profile is 20mm by 20mm. The difference, however, between the 20×20 and the 20x20RQ profiles, is that the 2020RQ has a slightly lower load bearing capability.

Uses for 20×20 & 20x20RQ Aluminum Extrusion T-Slot Profiles
As with any other aluminum extrusion, these profiles have numerous uses. They can also be easily attached to other extrusions without welding or clamps. The height of both profiles is 6.1 mm, the section size is 20 mm x 20 mm, the hole is f5 mm, and the thickness of the diagonal bar is 1.5 mm. The 20x20RQ profile’s R= 18.5°.
20×20 Aluminum Extrusion T-Slot Profile
The 2020 profile is generally used for assembling a range of light-weight structural frameworks in the machinery industry. These include instrument racks, display boards, engine covers, and the like. It typically has a simple yet elegant appearance if it goes through the proper finishing process.
You can match the 2020 profile with an M6 bolt with a hexagon head and a T-nut. In the case of bearing relatively great weight, you can connect the M6 bolt to a sliding nut, thus ensuring the framework offers more strength and reliability. As with all 20 series profiles, you can easily link them to other profiles without welding or clamps.
20x20RQ Aluminum Extrusion T-Slot Profile
If you have a corner framework structure, the 2020RQ profile is probably your best bet. It’s super easy to connect and has no sharp edges, which is why it is the perfect, safe, and great looking façade for corner framework structures. As with the normal 2020 profile, you can use an M6 bolt and nut, but bear in mind that it can hold less than the 2020 profile. As with all 20 series T-slots, you can easily link it to other extrusion profiles without welding or clamps.
